Collection: Danielle Attoe

Danielle is the 2022 LEAP winner and a jewelry artist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her In the Flesh jewelry series depicts a figure, rendered in silver wire, interacting with a frame usually made of patinated brass in an oval shape in reference to the cameo. The frame sometimes dissects the visibility of the form, but other times, the figure breaks out of the frame allowing a moment of unrestricted visual access to the complexity of each body's unique shape. Danielle is a MFA Candidate in Studio Art at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and holds a BFA in Jewelry & Metalsmithing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
