Collection: Jeffrey Lloyd Dever

From the early days of his childhood, the hills and orchards, streams and woodlands of Jeffrey's small New England home infused his aesthetics with a visual vocabulary of color, patterns, texture and form. All of Jeffrey's work are an homage to that natural wonderland of his youth. Each piece is born through a series of sketches that mature into sculptural forms through repeated cycles of fabrication, layering and oven curing. An individual piece can go through dozens of such cycles and take weeks or months to complete.

Jeffrey holds a BS degree in Fine Art from Atlantic Union College. He served on the contract/adjunct faculty of Maryland Institute College of Art for 20 years, where he taught illustration and graphic design. He has taught classes across North America and Europe. Jeffrey's polymer clay vessels, jewelry and sculptural objects have been shown in many national invitational exhibitions, and his works are represented in numerous private collections, galleries and museums.
